Setting up a Changes Service...

In recognition of the relevance and effectiveness of its user-led recovery service, Changes recently secured statutory funding to deliver its Stoke-on-Trent service. (Given the high level of user-involvement in service delivery, i.e. all Changes groups are run by volunteer Group Co-ordinators, Changes service is also extremely cost-effective).

Similarly, Statutory Commissioning bodies, (i.e. Local Implementation Teams, Primary Care Trusts, Social Services etc), can enter into a Service Level Agreement for Changes to deliver its service within its area.  Or alternatively...

Statutory Service Providers, (i.e. NHS Trusts, Social Services etc), may choose to provide Changes service under licence, i.e. enabling its delivery by users of existing mental health services/those in mental distress, adding Changes to their menu of local mental health services.

Whether the agreement is for Changes to deliver the service, (i.e. under SLA), or for the service to be delivered by users of existing mental health services, (i.e. under licence), it will provide:

Full access to, and use of, Changes 12 Step Recovery Programme, Group Method, Volunteer and Recovery training packages, and Information Database.

Full and ongoing support, regarding:

Service set up and Development  |  User involvement  |  Volunteer recruitment, training, and supervision  |  Promotional activities  |  Monitoring and evaluation

Changes also provides Recovery Training for Healthcare Professionals
Changes Recovery Training aims to help healthcare professionals explore ideas and issues surrounding the Recovery Approach to mental wellbeing, to identify how the Recovery Approach can be applied practically in their work, and to develop strategies for the promotion of Recovery within their particular organisation and regarding service provision in general.
